The Research Facilities at the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, AVIT, are designed to foster innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and impactful technological advancements in the energy and power sectors. The department provides a robust ecosystem equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, advanced simulation tools, and dedicated research labs that support cutting-edge work in areas such as Renewable Energy, Power Electronics, Power System Automation, Electric Vehicles, Smart Grid, and Embedded Systems.

Anchored by the Centre of Excellence for Solar Energy — featuring a 126 kWp rooftop solar plant generating over 600 units per day — and backed by research grants from MNRE, DST, MHRD, and IIT Hyderabad, the facilities enable faculty and students to engage in high-quality research, funded projects, and collaborative initiatives with academic and industrial partners.
