A Research-Driven Department

The Research Facilities at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, AVIT, are designed to foster innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and impactful technological advancements across the energy, mobility, and manufacturing sectors. The department provides a robust ecosystem equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, advanced simulation tools, and dedicated research labs that support cutting-edge work in areas such as Thermal Engineering, Alternative Fuels & IC Engines, Manufacturing & Production, Materials & Composites, CAD/CAM & FEA, Automobile Engineering, Robotics & Automation, and Additive Manufacturing.

Anchored by Centres of Excellence including the Alternative Fuel Testing Centre and the BOSCH Automotive Research Centre, and strengthened by partnerships with ENFUSE, the SAE Collegiate Club, and NIQR, the facilities enable faculty and students to engage in high-quality research, funded projects, and collaborative initiatives with academic and industrial partners.
