Research Interests

• Doctoral Research :Department of Biochemistry, Vinayaka Missions University 2009 – 2014 (Research advisor – DR.S.Baskaran). “Biochemical changes in Pre and Post operative Breast Carcinoma”.
• Study few Biochemical changes before and after mastectomy in histopathologically proven breast cancer patients & compare with the age – matched healthy control.
• Asses’ serum cholesterol, Triglycerides (TG), HDL – cholesterol, LDL – cholesterol and VLDL status in breast cancer patients before and after surgery.
• Evaluate the biochemical role of some antioxidants enzymes (super oxide dismutase (SOD),catalase (CAT) glutathione – S– transferase (GST), glutathione peroxidase (GPX) and glutathione reductase in breast cancer (BC) patients under surgical treatment and of prior surgery.
• Assay certain breast cancer markers (enzymes) of reccurence and metastasis like Adenosine deaminase (ADA) and Alkaline phosphatase (ALP).
• Understand the interplay of thyroid hormone [Triiodothyronine (T3), Thyroxine (T4), Thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH)] in breast cancer.
• Assay Estradiol and Prolactin in breast cancer patients before and after mastectomy.
  Characterize the three dimensional structure of prolactin receptor (PRLR) using insilico method.
• To emphasize the importance of surgery.
• M.Phil: From July 2005 – March 2006. “Lipid and CA15-3 Status in Breast Cancer Patients”.
