"A journey of 1000 miles begins with a single step." This first step should be kept firm in the right direction. That's how Vinayaka Mission's journey began in the year 1981 with the sole objective of offering quality education to one and all. Today, after three decades, quality education is being offered across all streams – medicine, engineering, technology, pharmacy, homoeopathy, nursing, dentistry, physiotherapy, optometry, allied health sciences, paramedical sciences, education, physical education, architecture, management, arts and science. These programmes are offered under the flagship of Vinayaka Mission's Research Foundation through its various constituent colleges situated in Tamil Nadu and Pudhucherry in India and at Penang in Malaysia.
Aarupadai Veedu Institute of Technology (AVIT) situated in Paiyanoor near Chennai offers Engineering, Technology, Computer Applications, Management Studies and Integrated programmes, established since 1998, is another milestone in the success journey of Vinayaka Mission's.
Education is not only the means but also the end for overall development. Today, we are proud that our institutions have all churned out over thousands of students over the years with the sole objective of their contributing to the development and growth of the society at large. The challenges ahead are immense but the plans made to meet these challenges are intense. We have commenced our journey of "Building Individuals to Build the World" and are confident of achieving the goals posts with our clear vision, planned road map, well-laid path and the torch bearers in the form of our dedicated and committed faculty.

Aarupadai Veedu Institute of Technology (AVIT) was established in the year 1998 to provide world class education in engineering and management to students from different socio-economic backgrounds and to pioneer research in these fields of study. AVIT became an ambit institution of Vinayaka Mission's Research Foundation (VMRF) in 2004.
Keeping in line with the university's aim to make education a tool for social change for the betterment of society, AVIT, with its dedicated faculty and innovative approach to teaching, learning and research has attracted talented students from across the country and around the world, nurturing them with a judicial mix of knowledge, information and skills, moulding them to face a competitive global system, truly, building individuals to build the world. The college is committed to impart such quality education in a conducive and well assigned environment and offers contemporary undergraduate and postgraduate full time and part time programs.
